Background
A practitioner's view of why AI programmes stall
John founded Superposition Technologies after watching the same pattern repeat across enterprises in India and the United States: capable teams, credible models, working prototypes, and almost nothing in production. The obstacle was rarely technical. It was an absent baseline, an unowned gap, a workflow that never actually changed, and a governance question nobody would answer in writing.
The NATIVE framework came out of that work, first as an internal method, then as the spine of The AI-Native Leader, and now as material published in full on this site. He writes and speaks for the executives who have to sign the decision, not for the teams building the models.
Works on
- AI readiness diagnostics and four-pillar scoring sessions.
- Operating model and decision-rights design for regulated organisations.
- Fractional Chief AI Officer cover for enterprises and GCCs.
- Board and executive briefings on AI governance and sequencing.
The framework
NATIVE, in his words
Six stages, each ending in a decision. Published in full and free to use, whether or not you ever engage the firm.
- NNoticeWhat is changing around us that we cannot afford to ignore?
- AAssessWhat can this organisation actually absorb now?
- TTargetWhere does AI connect to a business outcome worth owning?
- IIntegrateHow does the work itself need to change?
- VValidateDid it produce value, quality, adoption, and acceptable risk under real conditions?
- EExpandHow do we make the gain durable without breaking the system around it?
Speaking
Sessions he runs
Half-day and full-day formats for boards, executive committees, and GCC leadership groups.
Board briefing
Ninety minutes on what the board should be asking, what a credible answer looks like, and which numbers to refuse.
Executive workshop
A working session that scores the four readiness pillars in one room and leaves with a named owner on the lowest one.
Governance clinic
Approve, override, escalate: writing the decision rights for AI-assisted work in a regulated environment.
FAQ
Questions about the founder
- Is John involved in engagements directly?
- Yes. He leads the diagnostic and operating-model work personally and holds the fractional Chief AI Officer engagements. The firm is capped in size so that this remains true.
- Does he speak at events?
- Board and executive sessions, industry forums, and GCC leadership groups, usually on the operating-model and governance material rather than model capability.
- What is the book about?
- The AI-Native Leader sets out the NATIVE framework and the organisational reasons AI programmes stall. The framework is published free on this site in its working form.
